First Christian Church has been in Grants Pass since 1885!
We value the name 'Christian' because it points folks to the One we follow: Jesus Christ. We are part of His story...the one He's been telling through the church through the millennia.
To be clear: we are not the "First" Christians. We are not the "only" Christians. We value our brothers and sisters who follow Christ in other Christian traditions. We count ourselves as being in mission alongside them; especially here in Grants Pass.
We affiliate ourselves with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, which has a rich history of seeking to keep first things first, and everything else second.
We aim to be a place where anyone might feel free to explore God's call on their life. We fervently believe that placing your trust in Christ makes a real difference in our lives both here on earth and in eternity.
We love the Word of God and seek to obey it in all we do. We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
